Huntington's Disease Association England and Wales exists to support anyone who is affected by Huntington's disease. It pursues the best possible care; provides training and advice to families and professionals; raises awareness, and promotes research towards better treatment and care.

Story

This summer, the three of us - Dulcie, Ludo and Will - are taking part in two big physical challenges to raise money for the Huntington's Disease Association. Between training runs and an awful lot of mud, we're hoping to push ourselves as far as we can in support of a cause that means a great deal to the three of us.

We decided to support the Huntington’s Disease Association because Huntington’s has directly affected our community at Frensham Heights School. One of our teachers has been diagnosed with Huntington's, a progressive genetic neurological condition. It is a disease that affects movement, thinking and behaviour, and it has a profound impact not only on those diagnosed but also on their families and people around them.

By fundraising for Huntington's Disease Association, we hope to support the vital work they do for people and families affected by the condition. They offer guidance, care, advocacy and support, while also helping to raise awareness and fund research into better treatments.

Taking on these challenges is our way of standing behind our teacher and showing that our community cares. We know the events will be tough, but that's exactly why we're doing them - to push ourselves in solidarity with those facing far greater challenges every day.

If you're able to support us with a donation, we would be incredibly grateful. Every contribution helps the Huntington's Disease Association continue their important work and makes a real difference to the lives of people affected by Huntington's.

Thank you for supporting us.
