Doddie's Triple Crown is the 2026 edition of Rob Wainwright's epic annual cycling challenge to raise funds for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.
Team ‘Full Boar to Dublin’ are based out of Mid Argyll and we’re going to take up the challenge by cycling from Dunadd, the ancient capital of Scotland, to Melrose and then on to Dublin. Team members are based in or have aanaffiliation with Mid Argyll and Kintyre.
The main challenge will take place from Tuesday 10th - Friday 13th March and the teams will cover 800 miles over four days - arriving in Dublin the evening before Scotland take on Ireland at the Aviva Stadium. The ‘Full Boar to Dublin’ team will add an extra day on to their adventure by leaving Dunadd on the 9th of March! The circuitous route is set as follows:
Day 1: Dunadd to Melrose
Day 2: Melrose to Leeds (official start of Doddies Triple Crown Cycle 2026).
Day 3 - Leeds to Gloucester
Day 4 - Gloucester to Pembroke (overnight ferry to Ireland)
Day 5 - Rosslare to Dublin
