The Dunfield Charity, a registered UK charity, manages Dunfield House and its mission. The purpose of the charity is to ensure that Dunfield continues to meet its overall objectives: To promote a safe and nurturing Christian environment which offers adaptable, comfortable three-star group accommodation for a variety of learning experiences. The amenities, services and beautiful surroundings of Dunfield are provided to enhance programmes developed by groups staying at Dunfield and to create new friendships, a sense of awe and wonder and lasting happy memories.

Story

Over the years, Dunfield House has provided countless individuals and families with a welcoming place to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories. However, the passage of time has taken its toll on our beloved establishment, and we now face a pressing challenge.

After years of weathering the elements, Dunfield’s roof is now in a desperate need of repair. If left unaddressed, the damage could worsen, potentially causing significant harm to the structure and disrupting our services. The total cost of repairing the roof is substantial, and while we cannot undertake all necessary repairs at once due to financial constraints, we are determined to proceed with urgency and care, ensuring that Dunfield remains a safe and welcoming space for all.

However, I must share with you a sobering reality. While addressing the roof repairs is essential and a necessity, it does not encompass all the financial difficulties that Dunfield is currently facing. We are making significant progress through the recent challenges of Covid-19 and the rising cost-of-living, but we aren’t quite there yet. Dunfield House needs other ongoing maintenance and upgrades to preserve its historic charm and functionality. Therefore, the current needs extend much further than the roof repairs.

For example, in terms of the roof repairs: -

£50 could purchase materials for initial repairs

£200 could contribute towards the labour costs of the skilled roofers.

£500 could help fund the installation of new, roof tiles.

£1,000 or more could significantly expedite the repair process and ensure restoration.

Your generosity will help to ensure that Dunfield House continues to be a place of inspiration, growth, and community, and a welcoming space so that future generations are given the chance to be able to experience the same sense of community and spiritual enrichment that we cherish today.

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our beloved Dunfield

Together, we can overcome the challenges that Dunfield face and embark on an exciting new chapter whilst continuing to show how good the world can be.
