Story

In June, I will be taking on the biggest running challenge of my life, a 50km ultra marathon.

I have always loved running and pushing myself towards new goals. Whether it’s a new distance, a tougher route, or simply getting out when conditions are far from ideal, I enjoy setting myself challenges and seeing what I am capable of achieving. However, this will be my first ever ultra marathon, and stepping up to 50km is something I have never attempted before.

This challenge is about far more than just running. It is a personal test of resilience, determination, and mental strength. Like many people, I have faced difficult times and moments when things have felt overwhelming. Completing this ultra marathon is my way of proving to myself that no matter how tough things get, I have the physical and mental strength to keep moving forward, one step at a time.

I am also proud to be raising money for KIM Inspire, a fantastic local charity that supports people with their mental health and wellbeing. Every day, they help individuals build confidence, overcome challenges, and find hope through community support and practical services. Their work makes a real difference to the lives of many people across our community.

There will undoubtedly be moments during those 50 kilometres when I question whether I can carry on. At those times, I will remind myself why I started, and who I am running for.

If you are able to support me, no matter how big or small the donation, I would be incredibly grateful. Your contribution will help KIM Inspire continue providing vital support to those who need it most, while helping me take on the toughest challenge I have ever faced.

Thank you for your support.
