DVLA Charity choir, formed in 2017 is aligned to the DVLA Charity of Choice campaign. It is a charitable giving approach where the winning charity is voted for by colleagues.

The choir is formed of around 30 colleagues past and present who volunteer their time to raise money and awareness for the annual charity of choice.

Over the last ten years, with your support, colleagues have raised an incredible £450,248 for twelve charities, which is something to be proud of.  This year (2025) we will be supporting Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.

Today, six people will receive the devastating news that they have MND in the UK, which affects up to 5,000 adults at any one time. It usually progresses rapidly and there is currently no effective treatment or cure. 

The MND Association supports people facing that unimaginable diagnosis, as well as their loved ones and their carers. They are also committed to funding and promoting research that leads to a better understanding of MND, potential treatments and ultimately, a cure.  

For over 40 years, the Association has provided essential support for people affected by MND, and this provision continues to increase thanks to generous voluntary donations. The money you raise will help the charity continue to take a leading role in the global fight against MND by funding ground breaking research, facilitating collaboration, and raising vital awareness.

All the fundraising activities and events planned for this year will be in support of this national charity. However you choose to support, your help will ensure the care and support of people living with MND both now and in the future.

The MND Association focus on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
