Dykes Who Hike London, Manchester and Shropshire are taking part in a Pride In Our Home walk to raise money to help people impacted by the housing emergency.

A home is a human right, and at Shelter, we believe everyone has the right to a safe home. Together we're collectively walking over 1,000 miles in solidarity with queer people's experiences of homelessness this world homelessness day: Saturday 10th of October.

People within the LGBTQ+ community are disproportionately impacted by the housing emergency. 1 in 5 LGBTQ+ people will experience homelessness in their lifetime and this figure is even worse for trans people where 1 in 4 people are affected. That’s why we are completing Pride In Our Home, a walk bringing the LGBTQ+ community and allies together to fight the housing emergency.
