24 hour run · 25 May 2024

Someone is diagnosed with blood cancer in the UK every 20 minutes, and many will need a blood stem cell transplant for a second chance at life. We are committed to increasing the number of potential blood stem cell donors in the UK, so that there is a donor for everyone who needs one.

Story

Hello, my name is Dylan Gough, I am 14 years old and on the 25th of May I will be raising money for DKMS. A charity close to my family’s hearts.

On the 28th of May 2024 it is national blood cancer day. To celebrate this and to raise money and awareness, I will be running 1 mile on the hour, every hour for 24 hours. So a total of 24 miles in 24 hours. I will be starting this on Saturday the 25th of May 2024 at 7AM and finishing on the 26th of May 2024 at 7AM.

It will be 5 years this year since my auntie had her stem cell transplant that saved her life. This is mine and my family’s way of showing awareness and spreading love for this charity and all that it does.

Family and friends will be joining for a few miles and we will have charity shirts and red clothes to represent blood cancer day. So if you see us. Give us a wave!

Any donation big or small will be appreciated

With great thanks

Dylan 😊
