Story
For two years running I have been raising money for charity one being breast cancer & other Hope house hospital where I have managed to raise over £13,000 for both charities. Having climbed 'yr wyddfa' 353 times in the 2 years & potentially having world record of crossing 'crib goch' 108 times in 2025. I have noticed the hard work that goes into all the volunteers who risk their lives 24hrs a day to rescue so many people.
So this year I am going to be walking up as many mountains as I can that the rescue team are based to help on and will be going again for over 100+ climbs in hope to raise as much money as I can to help this great organization.
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation (OVMRO), or Sefydliad Achub Mynydd Dyffryn Ogwen as we are known in the native Welsh language, is a voluntary mountain rescue team responding to incidents in the mountains and valleys surrounding the Ogwen Valley, Glyderau, and Carneddau mountain ranges and surrounding area in northern Snowdonia. We are on-call 24 hours a day, throughout the year.
