Dylan is 13 and was given a 10% chance of survival when a pregnancy scan showed that his diaphragm was not developing properly on one side. Whilst still in the womb he underwent two procedures (one to block off his wind pipe and one to unblock it!) and he had an operation when he was 5 days old to repair his diaphragm and then again aged four. It is safe to say his lungs were not given the best start!

Despite this he has been working on developing his fitness with swimming and running and now, with the help of his swimming teacher Molly, he has set himself the challenge of swimming 64 lengths in one go. He would love it if this challenge could also benefit the Exmoor Search and Rescue Team that his Dad volunteers for. They are an amazing volunteer charity that rescues folk from remote areas in and around Exmoor and Somerset. It costs £25000 to keep the team operational and all donations go directly towards the running costs and purchasing essential equipment, maintaining the vehicles and base and training team members.
