Story

I need your help.

Currently, there are many people in need in Cambodia. There are many who can't afford food, who can't afford to travel to the nearest hospitals for essential healthcare, and many who have no access to clean drinking water. This is a problem.

To emphasise how dire the situation is, here are some statistics: GDP per capita is $2,870 per annum compared to the UK's $54,950 per annum; average life expectancy is 39 years for men and 43 years for women; and only 10% of people living in villages have the privilege of attending primary school.

Something needs to change.

This is why I am joining a team from Bread and Life International to go on a mission to Cambodia.

While in Cambodia, we will be building water wells, helping in feeding centres, and aiding the completion of construction projects that will allow for villages to keep farms and have sustainable sources of food.

Bread and Life international will also be teaming up with Medical Mission International from Canada to provide emergency surgeries and provide medical treatment for those who unable to afford the treatment or have no access to the suitable healthcare.

This trip has the potential to not only change many people's lives, but also save them.

But, we need your help. The extent of what we can do is limited by the financial resource that we have available. Therefore, we are relying on donations to fund the work we will be doing out there. I have decided to self-fund my portion of the trip meaning 100% of the money raised in this fundraiser will be donated to Bread and Life International, and consequentially, distributed to the different projects we will be working on in Cambodia.

As part of my fundraising efforts, I will be completing a 15km Tough Mudder in August, and climbing Mount Snowdon only a few weeks after.

We can't do this alone. We need your help. Please donate generously.

With utmost gratitude,

Dylan
