In July 2023, my son, Dylan suffered a tragic accident at home which required him to be taken by air ambulance to St George's Hospital in London. There he was looked after by the amazing staff at their Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Whilst there, the staff gave Dylan their all and the care, compassion and dignity they gave, not only to Dylan but to those who came to his bedside, giving us the chance to spend precious time and making lasting memories with him, including with his little sister will never be forgotten. Unfortunately Dylan's injury was such that he passed away peacefully 4 days later.

Dylan was a kind and loving boy, who would do anything to help anyone and in true Dylan style, we are raising money for St George's Hospital for their Time for a Change Appeal where they aim to raise £5 Million to improve their children's wards and facilities, including increasing the number of beds and improving the staff and visitor facilities at their PICU.

As such, I, along with a couple of friends will be undertaking the London to Brighton Bike Ride on September 15th. A 55 mile ride that includes a mile long climb up to Ditchling Beacon and any donations you give, no matter how small, will be gratefully received and will go to help make a difference to another child's life, make their families stay a little more comfortable and give the wonderful staff the facilities they truly deserve
