Accessible GREEN SPACES matter to Histon & Impington! When two precious places were

about to be sold & closed off, we mobilised rapidly to SAVE ABBEY FIELDS. Now we are

working hard to raise £500K to pay for their purchase and management. Over 180 community

members signed up as Friends, raising funds, managing the land and recording wildlife:

deer, lizards, newts, 67 species of bird and over 200 plants. This is CONSERVATION BY AND

FOR THE COMMUNITY. Our long-term vision is to secure a NETWORK of green spaces

around our villages, FOREVER.
