Raising Money to Maintain the Belhaven Surf Centre Defibrillator ❤️

East Berwickshire & Dunbar Area Community First Responders are a charity that support and maintain publicly accessible defibrillators across our local communities, including the defibrillator at Belhaven Surf Centre. These lifesaving devices are available for anyone to use in the event of a cardiac arrest, but keeping them operational comes at a significant cost. Batteries and replacement pads require regular replacement, particularly following use, alongside the ongoing costs of maintaining cabinets and equipment.

Hosting a defibrillator at Belhaven Surf Centre plays an important role in protecting the health and wellbeing of our local community at the beach, in the ocean, and visitors to the surrounding areas. At Coast to Coast Surf School we've relied on this lifesaving defibrillator in the past.

As a small local charity, Community First Responders rely heavily on donations and fundraising to continue this vital work. The charity is now facing significant financial pressures.

Thanks to a new supplier who has agreed to provide batteries and pads at reduced costs, the charity is now able to continue to maintain our defibrillator at Belhaven. However, we need to raise money to cover the cost of the replacement pads and battery, at £300 per defibrillator.

All donations will go directly to the charity East Berwickshire & Dunbar Area Community First Responders. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us keep this vital lifesaving equipment available and ready to use when someone needs it most. Any money raised over the amount for the Belhaven defibrillator will support the charity's work maintaining all their defibrillators.
