EYBBL 24h Hobby Challenge · 7 June 2025

We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

"The East Yorkshire Blood Bowl League (EYBBL) is raising funds for the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), a suicide prevention charity.

In 24 hours, the participants will utilize all their hobby skills, guile, and willpower to assemble and paint a team for Blood Bowl - a tabletop fantasy football game.

We all struggle sometimes. Many of us face daily difficulties with our mental health.

Hobbies are a great way of managing those difficulties and cultivating a positive sense of well-being.

The tabletop gaming hobby in particular is multi-faceted and all-encompassing. Whether assembling, painting, or playing it allows people to develop their motor skills, express themselves creatively, and, most of all, engage with others socially, which helps to build strong, fundamental networks of mutual support.

That's what our hobby is about, and that is what we want to promote and encourage.

The challenge will take place between Saturday 7th June and Sunday 8th June 2025.

The event is generously sponsored by Jackson's Fisheries of Bridlington, who'll match every ticket sale 1 for 1 directly to the fund raiser.
