Just like me, YSAS began in Melbourne in the late 90’s.

Donations will help YSAS to continue to provide key services like:

💛 Drug and Alcohol Support - a support line and service that provides information, guidance and referrals for young people and their families coping with alcohol and drug concerns.

💛 Day programs and outreach support - safe spaces and personalised outreach where young people can get practical help, counselling, education and connection.

💛 Residential/Homebased withdrawal and rehabilitation - free, confidential and voluntary programs to withdraw from drugs and/or alcohol and have a break in a drug free space. Rehabilitation programs include individual and group therapy, counselling, primary health and mental health support, regular recreational, educational, training opportunities, and development of important life skills including community living and shared responsibility.

💛 Advocacy - Pushing policy change that actually supports young people like early intervention and harm-reduction approaches (think DanceWize and pill testing at festivals). Advocacy also plays a key role in reducing stigma and systemic barriers that prevent people from getting much needed support.
