St Peter’s C of E Academy Parent Teachers & Friends Association (PTFA) is running a fundraising campaign to raise £25,000 to purchase a much-needed upgraded reading programme for the children at the school to benefit from costing £12,000 and new playground shelter costing between £12-15K. We hope all parents, caregivers, extended family, local businesses and the community back our fundraising campaign.

School budgets mean that the school cannot fund these essential books or shelter that the school has desperately needed for a number of years. Little Wandle Phonics Books - https://www.littlewandlelettersandsounds.org.uk/Some books children are coming home with are up to 20 years old and in a state of disrepair. No child should have their literacy skills compromised. Following feedback from our last Ofsted inspection (autumn 2022), the school is required to upgrade its phonics programme to the recommended Little Wandle reading scheme. Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised has been developed by Wandle and Little Sutton English Hubs and taken forward by Little Sutton Primary School and Wandle Learning Trust in partnership with other phonics and early reading experts.
