James Wilkinson London Marathon

When choosing a cause to run the London Marathon and fundraise for, I wanted to pick a local charity who make a genuine difference to those they support. On top of this I wanted to fundraise for a charity where your donation has the greatest impact on those who need help, whereby funds donated go directly towards supporting those who need it most.
Daisy’s dream being a small, local charity must fight to receive just a handful of London Marathon places each year. One of their runners for 2024 has unfortunately dropped out late due to injury. As eCapital’s chosen charity Daisy Dream have offered the place to myself. I have gratefully accepted the challenge at short notice, having never run a full marathon before!
Each year Daisy's Dream support around 800 children and young people through their bereavement. Whether they are facing the death of someone they love or have already experienced their loss, their professionally qualified Therapeutic Practitioners are on hand to offer families the support and guidance they need. All of Daisy’s Dream work is provided to families completely free of charge, but in order to do so, they need to raise over £500,000 a year to cover our costs. Please consider donating what you can to a truly meaningful cause.
