Story
Back in 2018 we lost a good friend in Oli Pell.
Oli was an inspiration in many ways, his attitude, drive, compassion, determination and empathy are just a few characteristics that we should all be trying to emulate in our lives.
Oli fought so valiantly against this terrible disease and by taking on this event, the Marathon de Sables, I hope I can emulate his incredible resilience to push through 260km of desert and raise money for The Royal Marsden, who we know supported Oli throughout his battle.
The reason for doing this challenge in Oli's name is because he also completed the MdS back in 2014 and I know he will be with me every step of the way!
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity:
Raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.
From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
