Yukon 1000 canoe race
We are not canoeists...
In July, Ian and I are taking part in this years' Yukon 1000 - The World's longest and toughest Canoe Race; 1000 miles from Canada to Alaska.
We will be paddling for 18hrs a day and, fully self-sufficient and entirely off-grid, with no communication with the outside world, no safety boat or checkpoints to seek refuge, or assistance. Sleeping rough where we stop and eating when we can, it is a true test of survival in the wilderness – and that’s not to mention the bears!
We will be raising money for two charities - Royal British Legion and CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). Having both served as Officers in the British Army these charities are close to our hearts.
Any donations are very much appreciated. Please note that you will need to choose a charity to donate to, it doesn't split it up automatically.
