Story
50 years old you say? How did that happen?
Weekend in Dublin? House party? Night up the city?
No chance! Let's walk 50 kilometres through the Norfolk countryside! Let's get up at 6am in the cold and dark and smash through more than 30 miles.

Seems like a reasonable approach to the half century.
Those of that know me are aware that:
(a) I like walking a long way.
(b) I work for the amazing Green Light Trust and I blinking love my job. Outdoors, fires, green woodworking, helping vulnerable people have better lives, decent gig right?
Absolutely, but it's also a charity, so without getting all Bob Geldof about it, give them some cash maybe........
It's a truly amazing place.
New Year's Eve is my actual birthday, and I've actually chosen to test my actual aging bones with this challenge. So y'know, a fiver maybe. That'd be cool. A pound per kilometre if you're feeling cheeky.
Keen walkers welcome to join in, get some fresh air and chat all things 2025 and beyond.

Stuff about Green Light Trust:
I work with the 16 to 25 year old cohort, but Green Light Trust takes a much wider age range than this, transforming the lives of adults, children and young people through well-being and education programmes rooted in nature.
Green Light Trust supports people who have a range of barriers to their well-being, and who often have the least access to nature. By allowing space and time, Green Light Trust helps people to reconnect with themselves, with others and with the natural world.
This fantastic charity needs our help so that they can continue to offer and expand their service. Thank you so much for your support!
