Over the past 4 years, the INS has done a Christmas collection for our local foodbank. We have raised thousands to support the brilliant work done by the Trussell network. These donations go a long way. Please give generously and have a wonderful Christmas.
Over the past 4 years we at Glasgow SW foodbank have been the very lucky beneficiaries of the wonderful collection at The Neurology / Neurosurgical Departments of the QEUH which has resulted in thousands of pounds each year. This has allowed us to be able to purchase food and toiletries after the busy Christmas period when our donations come practically to a halt until Easter time.
As part of the Trussell network of foodbanks we have a strict list we must adhere to to ensure all food groups are covered in each parcel. The money we receive allows us to ensure we can keep providing the food parcels and toiletries to the most vulnerable in our community. Last year Glasgow SW Foodbank gave out just under 4 thousand parcels feeding 5126 Adults and 2645 children. Claire McCunnie, Development Management, Glasgow South West Foodbank
