Story
On 25 September 2026, I will be doing something completely out of character: jumping out of a perfectly good aeroplane to raise money for the Royal Signals Charity! While I am trying to convince everyone that I am excited, the truth is that I am also a little nervous. However, the Royal Signals Charity is a cause that means a great deal to me and one that does outstanding work for serving soldiers, veterans and their families. The Charity supports those facing hardship and distress, providing vital grants and assistance when it is needed most.
In 2025 the Royal Signals Charity supported our community with various grants and initiatives totalling more than £850,000; our benevolence grants alone exceeded £315,000. They directly supported 855 within our community and many more indirectly.
Seeing the impact of that support first-hand has inspired me to step well outside my comfort zone and take the plunge. If you can spare a few pounds to sponsor me, I would be hugely grateful. Every donation, no matter how small, will help support the Royal Signals Charity and make it a little easier for me to face those cold feet at 12,000 feet!
