Story
On 17th September, I am attempting to complete The Weymouth Ironman 70.3 for the Kasanka Trust. The "70.3" is the total distance in miles (113.0 km) covered in the race, consisting of a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) swim, a 56-mile (90 km) bike ride, and a 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run. I am hoping to do this in under 7 hours, but we shall see!
Kasanka Trust was established to conserve and protect the unique habitats and wildlife of the Kasanka National Park, based in Zambia.
Their main objectives are to secure the future of biodiversity within the Greater Kasanka Landscape and to stimulate, as well as sustain the local economy through its mission of “Tourism for Conservation”.
As the Kasanka Trust relies entirely on donor funding and income received through tourism, any donations big or small will make a huge difference.
Your donations will help support not only wildlife conservation, but research projects, local community development, environmental education in the 33 schools surrounding the park and much needed upgrades in infrastructures.
You can follow my much needed training activities below on Strava and thank you so much for any donations.
