20 Mile Edale Skyline Hike · 21 September 2025

Prader-Willi Syndrome is a rare genetic abnormality causing physical and mental disabilities throughout life. PWSA UK is the only UK organisation dedicated to supporting those with PWS, their families/carers and the professionals involved with them. Please do visit at www.pwsa.co.uk.

Story

Ashgates in partnership with DJH, are raising money for the firm's charity of the year - Prader-Willi Syndrome Association UK.

Later this month on 21 September, members of the tax team will be lacing up their walking boots to take on the Edale Skyline Challenge, helping to raise vital funds for the charity.

Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) occurs in approximately 1 out of every 15,000 births and is a lifelong genetic condition characterised by developmental challenges and an insatiable appetite that, without strong support, can lead to serious health risks.

Every pound raised will support PWSA UK's mission of providing life-changing resources, expert support, and a caring community for those navigating PWS.

This charity holds special significance for our team, as it was chosen by the firm because a colleague of ours has a sibling with PWS. We're delighted to be doing our part to help raise both awareness and funds - something that means a great deal to her family, the team taking part in the hike, and the charity itself.

Covering 20 miles with over 1,100 meters of ascent, it’s safe to say, this is no easy challenge! However, our team are ready to tackle it together for this important cause.

If you'd like to show your support, please donate if you can. Every contribution, big or small, will help make a real difference.
