Story
🪂 We are Skydiving for Shay’s Smiles – 28th September
On Saturday 28th September, we will be jumping out of a plane (yes, really!) to raise money for an incredible charity: Shay’s Smiles 💛
This wonderful organisation was set up in memory of 13-year-old Shayen “Shay” Patel, who passed away from a rare and aggressive brain tumour known as glioblastoma. Shay’s Smiles supports other families going through the unimaginable — providing financial help, emotional support, and funding vital research into childhood brain tumours.
I (Ed) was lucky enough to have taught Shay and this charity is very close to his heart. I have very fond memories of him and this will be my second jump in his name.
Tragically, glioblastoma has no cure and affects too many young lives. Shay’s Smiles is working hard to change that.
✨Why we are Doing This
We believe every child and every family facing a diagnosis like this deserves hope. Research into childhood glioblastoma is critically underfunded — but charities like Shay’s Smiles are changing that.
Taking on this skydive is our way of supporting their mission and honouring Shay’s story.
If you can, please donate to help me reach our fundraising goal.
Every pound really does count.
We are taking on this challenge to help raise awareness and much-needed funds so this incredible work can continue.
Please support us if you can — every donation, big or small, makes a difference. And if you're not able to donate, simply sharing this with others helps more than you know 💛
Let’s do it for Shay — and for every family affected by childhood brain tumours.
Thank you so much for your support.
Ed and Sarah ❤️
