Story
My dad, Al Arnold, recently passed away. One of the most important lessons my dad taught me was to be of service to others. It was both my dad and my mom’s shining examples of living lives of service that led me to join the YMCA Frost Valley board of trustees last year. I was looking for something that would have a direct impact on the lives of children.
Frost Valley is a magical place that provides life changing experiences for the children lucky enough to attend summer camp or one of the many other programs there. Almost 70% of the campers receive financial aid to attend. Frost Valley also welcomes children with developmental differences to summer camp and to our fall and spring autism support weekends. They make summer camp available to children with kidney disease by maintaining their treatment in our dialysis center.
What really matters, though, is that none of this magic can happen without philanthropic financial support. Thus, my ask is simple. If you are able, please join me in raising funds for children and families who cannot afford the opportunity to delight in the great outdoors. Thank you and have a wonderful holiday season.
Ps. Please do not hesitate to ask me to donate to one of the charities you support. I would be honored to do so.
