Eddison Miller is raising money for Action for XP

Ted's 1000KM Challenge

We are dedicated to creating and funding projects to improve quality of life of those affected by Xeroderma Pigmentosum through the advancement of education, support of scientific advancements, provision of safe recreational facilities and promotion of equality and diversity.

Story

Hi, my name is Ted (Eddison) Miller.

Cycling has been a lifelong passion for me. It is a great outlet and way that I stay as fit and healthy as I can. To help raise funds for Action for XP, which, is a charity I am equally passionate about, I have decided to take on my own 1,000 km cycle challenge, which will take place between summer solstice and the clocks changing, later in the year.

The summer solstice is important for the XP community as it marks the longest day of the year, which means we can start looking forward to increasingly shorter days of sun, and earlier dark nights!

Living with the ultra-rare condition, xeroderma pigmentosum, makes exercising and keeping fit over the summer months REALLY difficult for me, so this challenge will help me maintain my fitness and motivation over these difficult months.

To complete the challenge, I will be recording every kilometre cycled, which will include outdoors cycling (when cooler weather permits), and on my turbo-trainer indoors.

I would love your support as I take on this challenge, and if you would like to join me on the same or similar challenge, I would love that too!
