Story
All Hands & Hearts (UK) Trust is a disaster relief charity supporting communities worldwide before, during, and after disasters. We support high-impact components of response and recovery programmes, helping rebuild homes, schools, and infrastructure as well as providing training such as female mason initiatives, WASH education, and skills programmes that strengthen local resilience. By working hand in hand with local partners and volunteers, we ensure recovery efforts are community-led, inclusive, and built to last for many years.
To raise money for this great cause, I have devised a pub run marathon. I plan to run from the Swan in Stockwell to the White Swan in Twickenham and back again, with a pint at each and at the end, and maybe some crisps for fuelling. With some dancing at the Swan after, it technically becomes an ultra marathon.
I don't believe anyone has tried this before (why would they), making this a world first record attempt! If you would like to join in a section of the run, all are welcome, as are supporters to settle into either venue. Any and all donations are also welcome.
I will be making this attempt on Friday, 2nd October, straight after work.
