Eddys Ireland cycle challenges

Eddy Edwards is raising money for Blind Veterans UK

Cycling across Ireland

We believe every blind veteran should be able to lead the life they choose. At Blind Veterans UK we’re one, transformational team. We provide rehabilitation, training, practical advice and emotional support. Together we can help rebuild lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be undertaking a 140 mile Cycling Challenge across Ireland, starting in Dublin and heading for the coast of Galway. I am aiming to do this within 2 days, solo, unsupported, camping wherever I end up at the end of the day, normally in a field. I am doing this to raise funds and awareness of Blind Veterans UK. Blind Veterans UK is a charity that supports ex-service men and women who are living with sight loss. The charity provides rehabilitation, training, equipment and support to thousands of veterans across the UK to enable them to live independently and lead the lives they choose, giving them the skills and technology they need to overcome the barriers of sight loss. I am proud to be a volunteer for Blind Veterans UK, acting as a driver to blind veterans in my community. I get to hear first hand the impact of the support of the charity and this is why I want to raise as much as possible.
