In memory of David Herbert
Story
I will be running this year's Lincoln 10K in April as part of the St Barnabas fundraising team! 💙💛
I will be running alongside my aunt and we will be raising funds together in memory of her father, David Herbert, who spent time being cared for at the St Barnabas Hospice.
So why a 10K? The City of Lincoln 10K is particularly special as it is the last race David attended and cheered my aunt on. So we are doing this for you David! 🏃🏼♀️ ❤️

My aunt’s story:
Well, in short, I'll never be able to repay the team at the Hospice. They cared for my dad so exceptionally I genuinely don't think I could ever find the right words to describe the team there. When my world was changing around me they carried me and my family through it all. You go through life hoping you'll never have the need to interact with these incredible people, but when you do they are there with such grace. I wish to ultimately 'give back'.
So why the 10K? Well it was the last time I ran where my dad cheered me on. He was my biggest cheerleader in all aspects of my life and I'll carry his 'Go on, Rach' with me all the way round the route.
