In March of this year my beautiful Nan was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Dementia. My Nan is one of the most selfless women I know with the biggest heart! She has dedicated her life to helping me and my family so I would like to do the same for her. My Nan is adored by so many.

That’s why my sister and I are running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in 2026, raising money for Dementia UK — a charity doing incredible work to help families affected by dementia. Every donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.
