On behalf of a group of dedicated ladies who have been working together for many years to support women with physical and learning disabilities. Over this time, we’ve not only become colleagues but a close-knit family here at Edgar Street Residential Home.

In November, our world was rocked when our colleague Charlotte’s 5-year-old son, Salahman, was diagnosed with Leukemia. This news was absolutely devastating for the Khan family, and it has been heartbreaking for all of us in the Edgar Street family as well. While we’ve done our best to offer support, we’ve realised that there’s so much more we want to do – but we feel limited by what we can provide.

That’s when we decided to take action. As a team, we’ve come up with the idea of doing something big – a sky dive! At Black Knights Skydiving Centre - 15,000 feet!!!!!! It’s bold, exciting, and symbolic of the support and courage we want to offer to the Khan family during this incredibly tough time.

But there’s more to this than just a jump. The goal of our sky dive is to raise money for Milly’s Smiles Charity. This charity has supported Charlotte and Salahman during their journey with leukemia. Milly’s Smiles is an incredible charity that truly makes a difference, and we’ve witnessed firsthand how their help in the most difficult of circumstances. The Bag they create for families is not just a bag, it’s a hug and a person really understanding what you are going through! Each bag costs the charity £140!! That is a lot. Can you help us to support this wonderful charity.

Our target is to raise a minimum of £140.00 each so that's 6 dontated bags

• Avril – one of the amazing individuals we support at Edgar Street, who has cerebral palsy and learning disabilities

We’re all united in this mission, and we’re asking for your support in helping us raise funds for Milly’s Smiles Charity. Every penny we raise will go directly to helping families in need, just like the Khan family. Your contribution will not only give us the courage to jump out of a plane, but it will also make a real and lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most.
