I'm running the Edinburgh marathon (my first and quite possibly only marathon), and I'd like it to help people in Gaza - so I hope you will support this.

While many of our governments seem unable to take any action to prevent the ongoing genocidal violence, we can still do something individually.

Even as emergency workers and journalists are killed on a daily basis, like the 15 Palestinian paramedics and civil emergency responders shot by Israeli forces on 23 March, Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is among those working to help save lives in Gaza.

£75 could buy 1 pediatric respiratory cannula for ventilation, which could save a child's life

£50 could pay for 6 Intravenous drip bags for patients in cardiac arrest

£10 could pay for 2,000mg of lifesaving antibiotics
