Help Us Bring Hope to Christmas Day in Edinburgh
This Christmas, up to 5,000 people in Edinburgh will be in temporary accommodation, and many others will be on the streets, alone.
That’s why Simon Community Scotland is partnering with our friends at the Southside Community Centre and The Crannie to offer a lifeline of warmth, community, and hope on Christmas Day.
We have decided to do something different on Christmas Day in Edinburgh this year and need your help to raise £6,500 to make it happen.
We are partnering with our friends at the Southside Community Centre and The Crannie to provide hope on Christmas Day to people experiencing homelessness and/or isolation.
"We are determined to give people hope this Christmas. Together with our friends, we are going to provide Christmas Dinner, health and wellbeing activities, games, and movies. Please help us if you can. Hannah Robertson-Newman, Service Lead for Simon Community Scotland Street Team
Your donation will directly fund a day of transformation and care:
- Warmth & Dignity: Starting with a hot breakfast and access to essential showering facilities.
- Community & Joy: A full day of activities, including arts & crafts, board games, musical entertainment, and movie showings.
- Festive Cheer: We're serving four full Christmas dinners! Four sittings to 40 people at a time.
- A Personal Gift: A thoughtful pamper or treat pack for every guest, a reminder that they are valued.
We are incredibly grateful for the volunteers, skills, and existing resources that have already been contributed. Now, we need your financial support to cover the final vital costs of running this special day.
Every single pound raised will make Christmas Day meaningful for someone experiencing homelessness or isolation. Please donate today.
Thank you
