Story
Christian Aid has reached its 80th year of supporting the world's people in need and reminds us, "Everyone is equal in the sight of God. For over 75 years, this truth has inspired us to stand together in solidarity with our most marginalised global neighbours, of all faiths and none."
More and more, climate change is devastating the lives of those least able to make any adjustments: crops failing and livelihoods taken away. Christian Aid is working with affected communities to provide support and resources that can help them adapt to these challenging circumstances.
On June 21, 2025, Edith will be participating in the "Ride To The Sun - 100 mile cycle" event. Peddling 100 miles overnight on country roads, including a challenging ascent over the Devil's Beeftub,. Committed to raising £1,000 for this vital cause. Your support will not only spur us along during this challenging journey but also contribute directly to helping those who are suffering from the impacts of poverty, injustice and climate change. Together, we can make a difference.
UPDATE 6th June: Ian is no longer able to take part in The Ride To The Sun. Having put in hours of training - battling the elements, braving the traffic and a couple of nasty falls off the bike - the final straw has been a fractured collar bone! We hope you will still see this as a tremendous effort and not withhold support as Edith and a smaller team continue to face the challenge.
