Snowdon night time trek for Parkinson’s UK

Clair Edmunds is raising money for Parkinson’s UK

Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) At Night Challenge · 4 October 2025

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Two years ago in June, many of you may know my mum was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Since then, we’ve watched as this relentless condition has taken its toll—on every part of her daily life. As a family, we do everything we can to support her, but the emotional and physical challenges can be overwhelming for us all.

Next year I turn half a century and want to challenge myself to do 50 things I wouldnt ordinarily do before I get to 50! And so to tick 3 things off that #50b450 on the 4th October I’m taking on the Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) at Night Challenge with my bestie Sally! I've always wanted to climb it (maybe not at night) haha! I also wanted to do something for Charity and particularly wanted to raise vital funds and awareness for Parkinson’s UK. This incredible charity provides support for people like my mum, offering a listening ear for those diagnosed or caring for Parkinsons sufferers. They also provide professional nursing care, along with the hope through groundbreaking research they are continually working towards better treatments and, ultimately, one day a cure 🤞

Climbing Snowdon at night will be tough, and I feel like crying now and it's 243 days away! However this is nothing compared to the daily struggles of those living with Parkinson’s. Every donation, big or small, will help make a difference.

Please support and motivate me and Sally on this journey, and ultimately help bring us closer to a future without Parkinson’s.

Thanks for all you lovely lot who have or are thinking bout donating!
