Hi friends, on this Sep 11th, I'm finally reaching the big 3-0! For the last few years, I've made the tradition of using my birthday as a reminder to give back and this year is no exception! Nothing marks the 30th chapter better than the symbol of maturity through dedicating oneself to service.

This year, my chosen charity is Malaria Consortium, a nonprofit that is deeply committed to comprehensive malaria control, especially for the most vulnerable group - children under five. It's picked by GiveWell to be the most effective charity with the most impact per dollar!

It saddens me to learn that even in today's age, malaria still claims the lives of over 600,000 people annually, primarily children in sub-Saharan Africa under 5. Imagine not being able to reach a full life and the agony of watching your kids die from preventable disease - a reality that contrasts sharply with many of the fortunate us from rather developed countries.

This is unfair. But the good news is that we can help fix this. The Malaria Consortium provides vital medicines that save young lives for as little as €6. By donating to my fundraiser, you are directly impacting the lives of vulnerable children and offering them a chance to thrive without the burden of malaria.
