2222th mile of 2023

CAMFED supports millions of vulnerable girls from rural communities across Ghana, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe to attend school and to create the future they imagine - for themselves, for their communities, and for Africa.

Story

I've run every day this year, always planning to get sponsored for doing it. With the year drawing to a close I really need your support to help me stick with it to the end and to raise funds for CAMFED. Education is the strongest weapon that we have against segregation and conflict, poverty and inequality. Help fix the world!

The 2222th and last mile is going to be a stretch. Today, at a bit under 2100 miles it's going to take some will power to get there. Hopefully I can make it. Hopefully some of you can join me for it.

CAMFED envisions a world in which every child is educated, protected, respected and valued, and grows up to turn the tide of poverty.

As the most effective strategy to tackle poverty and inequality, CAMFED multiplies educational opportunities for girls and empowers young women to become leaders of change. Our focus is on girls and young women in rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa. This is where girls face acute disadvantage and where their empowerment will have a transformative impact.
