There are over 1.5 million care workers in the UK, contributing to one of the largest workforces and caring for some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Early starts, long hours, and mentally draining work are part and parcel of their daily lives. They show unwavering commitment and compassion, often putting the needs of others before their own. Illness or unforeseen circumstances can easily push them beyond their financial limits.

That’s why I am participating in the Beyond The Ultimate Ice Ultra event, a 230km Ultramarathon on February 17, 2026 to raise funds for The Care Workers' Charity. I'd love to reach my fundraising target of £3,000 to provide essential resources and support for these incredible care workers who give so much to our communities.
