Walk and Talk for Connected Communities · 2 May 2024 ·

Help Calm Mediation to raise funds to prevent, resolve and manage the harm, hurt and cost of community conflict across the Captial. Support better connected families, safe and supported children, peaceful neighbourhoods and safer communities.

Story

Please sponsor me to run the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 14 April and complete a 10 mile walk along the Thames path on Thursday 2nd May to raise money for the Calm Mediation Charity to tackle conflict and build more peaceful, resilient and connected communities all across London and the South East.

Community conflict ruins lives, impacts mental health and wellbeing and undermines community resilience and cohesion. Research shows that community conflict is on the rise, services are in decline and those that survive, like Calm Mediation, must do so on a shoestring.

Your donation will help Calm Mediation to make a real difference to people's lives by:

Increasing capacity to field the many calls for help received each day.

Spending more time listening to people's concerns and addressing their complex needs.

Training and upskilling members of the community to act as community conciliators and conflict resolvers.

Continuing to offer the one of the few remaining family mediation services for low income families in central London.
