Story
Last year, my brother and I ran the Paris Marathon for the challenge. This year, we’re running it again—but this time, it’s about so much more than the miles. We’re running in memory of our grandparents, Papa and Joice, who both lived with dementia in their later years.
Seeing how dementia affected them, and the people who loved them, showed us how important it is to keep pushing for better treatments and, one day, a cure. That’s why this charity means so much to us as a family.
Every 3 minutes, dementia changes someone’s story. But with research, there is hope. Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity, funding groundbreaking work to improve diagnosis, develop new treatments, and bring us closer to a future free from dementia.
By supporting us, you’ll be helping to make every mile we run count—not just for us, but for every family affected by dementia. Whether you can donate or simply share our page, you’ll be part of the journey.
We’ll take on the 26.2 miles through Paris—you can help us take one step closer to a cure.
