Cycling London to Amsterdam in Memory of Caro Embrey- a most courageous soul who was both skiing with us and cycling to Paris in 2024 the year she tragically passed.

On 16 September, our team will take on the challenge of cycling from London to Amsterdam to raise money for Marie Curie in her honour - after an incredibly brave fight against cervical cancer.

Caro was an amazing, funny, caring and vibrant woman who brought light and warmth into every room she entered. Even throughout her illness, she never lost her positivity, humour or determination- she never nce compalined, and she never ever used her illness to stop her doing anything.

After being diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2023 and later learning it had spread, she still chose to live life fully, challenge herself, and give back to others. She even set herself the extraordinary goal of cycling over 500km while living with stage 4 cancer, raising money for women’s cancer charities that meant so much to her.

It was a privilege to be with Caro. She loved the simple joys in life, walks through the countryside, tea and especially cake, garden centres, laughter with friends, and making special memories from ordinary moments.

So this challenge is for her, for the woman who fought cancer with every ounce of strength she had. For the woman who made the world feel warmer and brighter. For the person we miss every single day.

We are raising money for Marie Curie because the support they provide to people living with terminal illness, and to the people who love them. Marie Curie nurses, hospices, support services and research help families through some of the most difficult moments imaginable with compassion, dignity and kindness.

This cycle is for Caro, for her strength, her spirit, her humour and the incredible way she faced cancer with everything she had. Thank you so much for supporting us, donating and helping us continue her legacy by raising money for such an important cause.
