I was asked to consider taking part in Strictly Seashell 2026, and thought this is way out of my comfort zone! As an Orthopaedic surgeon I spend my time fixing peoples hips, not wiggling my own. I visited the Seashell Trust and I was blown away at the incredible work that is done there, it was truly inspirational. I knew I had to get some dancing shoes on and do my part in raising money for this incredible cause.

The Seashell Trust is a beacon of hope for children and young adults with the most complex learning disabilities across Greater Manchester and beyond. Through its specialist school, college, residential care, and therapy services, Seashell Trust empowers these incredible individuals to build independence, enhance communication skills, and gain confidence — unlocking their potential to live safe, creative, and fulfilling lives.

Despite the invaluable work done by Seashell Trust, statutory funding falls short of covering essential facilities, therapies, and inclusive activities that make all the difference. This is where your support becomes vital. Every donation helps provide specialist equipment tailored to unique needs, respite care that offers families much-needed relief, and state-of-the-art learning environments that inspire growth and joy.
