We have come together as a community for Christine, Stephen, Hannah, Ruby, Ciara and Katie, Christines mum and dad, Brian and Joanie and her two sisters Suzanne and Ann-Marie, I am so confident prayers have been answered and if it has anything to do with my own mum, who has prayed so hard for Christine and continues to do so, faith has played a huge part of this journey for Christine.

Christine has been receiving treatment, its targeted therapy and the good news is, it is working, beyond belief and long this may continue, there is a however and with your help, you can make a difference.

The development of targeted therapies has led to new treatment options – giving patients priceless extra quality time with their loved ones.

None of this happens without investment into research and much has been achieved , but much remains to be done. Your support will further the cutting-edge programme of EGFR and Lung Cancer research at The University of Nottingham, mine and your home City!

I plan to run the Robin Hood half marathon on Sunday 27th September, with three of my mates, Tommy, Doony and Christines daughter Ruby. Note; I am not a runner, this is a massive challenge for me but feel every need to do this for Christine and to raise as much money as possible with every penny raised going to the programme of EGFR and Lung Cancer research at The University of Nottingham.

The evening before, Saturday 26th September, we have planned in an End of Summer Ball at The Greyfriars, we have got loads planned, raffle prices, auctions, live music, Irish dancing, food and more. The night is For Christine, with love. A night of hope.

Another opportunity to raise money to the programme of EGFR and Lung Cancer research at The University of Nottingham. I hope you can join me and Christine.
