Story
Step Up for EGFR+ Lung Cancer UK
This August, our community is stepping up for people affected by EGFR-positive lung cancer.
From 1 August 2026 – World Lung Cancer Day, supporters will be taking on the challenge to walk 30, 50 or 100 miles during the month, raising vital funds and awareness for EGFR+ Lung Cancer UK.
EGFR+ Lung Cancer UK is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting people and families affected by EGFR-positive lung cancer. We work to raise awareness, promote earlier diagnosis and improve outcomes for people living with this gene-driven form of lung cancer.
Lung cancer doesn't only affect smokers. Around 6,000 people in the UK die each year from lung cancer in people who have never smoked, and 90% of people with EGFR-positive lung cancer are diagnosed at Stage 3 or Stage 4.
By supporting Step Up for EGFR+ Lung Cancer UK, you'll be helping us raise awareness, challenge outdated perceptions, support patients and families, and campaign for earlier diagnosis and better outcomes.
Every step taken. Every mile walked. Every donation makes a difference.
Thank you for supporting our walkers and helping us create a future where more people are diagnosed earlier and live better with EGFR-positive lung cancer.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure, with every donation going directly to EGFR+ Lung Cancer UK to support our work.
