I'm running the Manchester Marathon to raise much needed funds for the Epiphany Trust's projects with displaced and war affected Karen people on the Thai/Myanmar border.

Growing up in a conflict-affected region where learning was uncertain and opportunities painfully limited, I understand what it means to yearn for knowledge when all around you is unstable. An experience that shaped my identity and fuelled my commitment to ensure others need not face the same barriers. Today I work with refugees, internally displaced persons and communities on the Thai/Myanmar border impacted by war. I run by choice, freely, with joy, holding on to the hope my people will do the same, not because they are forced to flee their homes but simply because they choose to.
