EHSU Parasoc's Restart a Heart day 2026

Parasoc EHSU is raising money for Resuscitation Council UK

Restart a Heart Day 2026 · 16 October 2026

Resuscitation Council UK is working towards a day when every person in society has the skills they need to save a life. Currently, not everyone has an equal chance of surviving the ultimate medical emergency. Simple lifesaving skills and confidence aren’t yet as widespread as they should be. If you live in some of the poorest parts of the UK, or come from a particular ethnic minority background, you may be less likely to survive a cardiac arrest. This is not acceptable. Together as a community we are demanding urgent action from the UK’s leaders to change this and make sure everyone has an equal chance of survival.

Story

Resuscitation Council UK's mission is to ensure everyone in the UK learns lifesaving CPR skills, so more people feel confident and ready to step in when it counts most. Every year, Restart a Heart aims to bring together members of the public to learn a skill which has the potential to save a life.

On the 16th October 2026, Student Paramedics at St James Building in Manchester city centre, will be providing no cost teaching sessions on CPR and basic AED use. *
