Story
Hello! I am running the Oxford Half marathon for the Earth Trust.
The Earth Trust is guardian of 500 hectares of woodland, farmland, wildflower meadows and wetlands. I chose to fundraise for them as I believe in their mission to protect and increase biodiversity in our local area, research nature-based solutions to climate change, educate the next generation, and to provide beautiful places for everyone to enjoy!
Those of you who know me will know how much I have struggled with injury over the last 4 - 5 years. But thanks to a minor hip op and a lot of physio I am so happy to be back running again! Training for the Oxford Half is my motivation to start a progressive running programme to build up my fitness again and enjoy running in the wonderful outdoors. I can currently run 3 miles. 10 more miles to go!
The £250 I am aiming to raise will support Earth Trust's land management specialists to continue thier vital work caring for nature, and enable them to offer more ways for people to discover, experience and fall in love with nature.
Any donation you can manage will be very gratefully received by me and the Earth Trust.
Many Thanks
Eilidh
