Story
This October I am taking on Tommy's 5k a day challenge to raise money for an incredible cause. Tommy's is the largest UK charity carrying out research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and they also provide vital support for families who have experienced baby loss at any stage.
This is a cause very close to my heart. Like so many others, I know what it feels like to go through early pregnancy loss, and the work that Tommy's does means so much in helping families through the hardest moments of their lives. Their midwife-run helpline has been especially important to me - a source of compassion and reassurance when I needed it most.
So, every day in October I will be clocking up 5k, whether that's walking, running, cycling, crawling, or dragging myself along with the promise of snacks at the finish.
If you'd to cheer me on, donating to Tommy's is the best way to do it. Your support will keep me moving (even on the days of typical Caithness weather) and will help fund the incredible research and care that Tommy's provide.
