eir Challenge 2024

Special Olympics is a sport organisation for people with an intellectual disability, currently supporting nearly 8,000 athletes across Ireland, who are training for much more than the physical benefits that come from sport, but the emotional and social development that come from being part of S.O.I.

Story

This year marks 40 years of partnership between eir and Special Olympics Ireland, the longest-running corporate charity partnership in the country.

To celebrate, eir employees across Ireland are running, walking, and cycling in support of the Young Athletes Programme, which helps children aged 4–12 with intellectual disabilities build vital skills through play and sport.

The challenge itself will take place on Friday, 26th September, with a seven-week training period beforehand. Thank you for supporting this very worthy cause.
